Sumangali Seva Ashrama is a Voluntary organization and Registered under Karnataka Societies Act 1960. This organization is dedicated to the services of Down Trodden deserted women, Orphan children and economically weaker people in the society. Dr. S.G. Susheelamma the founder President and Smt.M.Kanthamma Secretary of this Organization, established this in the year 1975 with its Reg.No. 212/75-76. Its distinct style of functioning based on the principal of Gandhism has made it a well-respected and well-known organization both at the state and the national level.

AboutOur Founder

It was love, pure & simple-coupled with the desire to make life better for the less-fortune, that drove Dr. S.G. Susheelamma & Smt M Kanthamma to set up the Sumangali Seva Ashrama in Bangalore in 1975. The Beginning was extremely modest. With just Rs.15/- in hand and three children who needed looking after, the two visionaries set about their task diligently.

Today, the ashrama is a much sought-after sanctuary for 100 children and 50 destitute women, Additonally, the Ashrama also works tirelessly to improve the quality of life in several slums of Bangalore and in the rural areas too.
